The Bullfinch, sociable, showy:
In Finland, this coniferous forest resident nests and spends the summers in the shelter of a forest. When winter arrives, the bullfinch is often seen in parks and in the yards. In a moment, the pastel scenery becomes colourful when a flock of bullfinches wafts to rest on frosty, hibernating tree branches. According to Finnish folklore, bullfinches are also called the fortune-tellers of storm and blizzard. The bird has received these names because of the aptitude to find easy food when the weather gets worse. So, it appears to eat in the yards, bringing lousy weather and blizzard with it.
